Learn More About the BIG 10 Conference

The Big 10 Sports Bar & Grill is named after the Big 10 conference which consists of 11 schools after Penn State was added in 1990. The main schools we decorate around are Wisconsin, Michigan, and Michigan State.

Michigan has been a force in football for many years with our own Gary Rose earning three Big 10 rings and one national championship ring. Michigan State, a dominating force in basketball coached by Iron Mountain's Tom Izzo, also claimed a national championship in 2000 and a number of Big 10 titles and final four appearances since.

Wisconsin has also been very successful in both football and basketball. They are the only Big 10 school to win back-to-back Rose Bowls in 1999 and 2000. Wisconsin has also been back-to-back national hockey champions in 2006 and 2007.

In 2011, the Big 10 was expanded to 12 teams with the addition of Nebraska, a football powerhouse in the Big 12 conference. Then, in 2014, the schools of Maryland and Rutgers were added to the conference, bringing the total number of schools to 14.New Paragraph
